In good condition for its age, structurally very sound and sturdy. The 17th-century base has natural age splits and some historic old worm (treated), plus a couple of small old repairs inside the legs. The end friezes are later replacements. The 18th-century top shows natural separation between the planks, with rounded corners and a recent restain; secured to the base with discreet metal brackets (easily removable if desired). Overall, this is a very well-presented table, strong, robust, and suitable for everyday use. It has been through our workshop, sensitively cleaned, waxed, and is now ready for use. A charming antique table that perfectly balances age, authenticity, and practicality – ideal for a farmhouse kitchen, country house dining room, or as a centrepiece in a modern setting.
