Art Deco style, Walter Nichols type, Chinese handwoven carpet, approximately 11'11" x 9'1", Circa 1920. This attractive old carpet has the pale mushroom grey coloured field sparsely decorated with a lantern, butterflies and plants, enclosed by indigo floral borders. A hand woven carpet finished with selvage ends and fringes. Wool pile and cotton foundations.
This high quality antique carpet, with over 100 years of use but still presents very well and is full of charm and character. Ready to use.

ConditionPlease see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This carpet is in original and reasonable condition overall, commensurate with its age. Odd small marks and blemishes. Some wear to the pile, fairly low in places. Both ends selvages and fringes have some wear. Colour slightly faded but even. A good regular shape. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Ready to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
