A pair of Georgian period elm and oak country chairs, dating from the late 18th century. Solid elm frames with oak plank seats.
Quality totally original chairs without damages or repairs. Very well presented and ready for use.
These chairs measure approximately 89.5 cm (35.25") tall, 49.5 cm (19.125") wide, and 41 cm (16.125") deep. The seat height is approximately 45.5 cm (18").

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a good totally original condition and are structurally sound and sturdy. There are some minor marks, blemishes and wear on the frame. No loose joints. No obvious signs of repair or damage. A few historic and now extinct old worm holes, typical of old elm, which have been treated by way of precaution, and do not affect the sturdiness of the chairs on any way. Lovely aged patina, good colour and pleasing wax polish throughout. These chairs have been through the workshop and have been sensitively cleaned and waxed, and are very much ready to be used. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
