George II/III period, mahogany tripod supper table, circa 1760. This high quality, original table, featuring a well figured, single piece, solid mahogany top, on a box-birdcage pivoting and tilting mechanism. Supported by a well proportioned baluster stem, raised on a tripod of carved cabriole legs. Constructed in solid early mahogany.
An attractive, original, and quality table, in very good condition and ready for use.
This table measures approximately 70 cm (27.5") tall, and the top is 79.25 cm (31.25") in diameter.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in very good and original condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally very sound and sturdy. All original apart from the wedge (holding the top to the base). Minor old marks and blemishes on the top, now well polished in. Hair line split in the top, barely visible. Scuffs and wear around the feet. Very good colour, lovely patina, with very good wax polish. Never French polished. No obvious signs or damage or repair. Sensitively cleaned and waxed polished. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
