<h2>About Leeds Antiques</h2>Hello, I am Jon Williams, owner of Leeds Antiques. The business was set up in 2012, though my time in the trade spans over three decades. I am second generation antique dealer, as I worked for my fathers business on and off since I was very young. I've always loved period furniture, so dealing is as much a pleasure as it is an occupational. We now have a third generation, as my son now works alongside me too. At Leeds Antiques we specialise in period antique furniture, as well as décor such as rugs and mirrors. We look for high quality pieces to conserve and restore that our customers are going to love. Our base is in Stainburn, between Leeds and Harrogate. We operate from a small warehouse. We are open for viewing but it is by appointment only. We are also available for advice on estate clearances and appraisals/valuations.

Victorian period (c.1870) small solid walnut desk with oblong shaped top, inset with plum coloured leather tooled and gilt skiver. Thumb moulded edge. Frieze with row of three drawers, raised on twin pedestal banks of four drawers, flanking a kneehole. All drawers with pairs of ebonies turned wooden handles, brass escutcheon, and lock. Pedestals on square plinth bases.

A charming and very attractive desk, in good condition and ready for use.
