Persian Baluch Rug - 5' x 3'2" Balouch Baluchi Afghan

A Persian Baluch handwoven rug, approximately 5' x 3'2", dating from the mid c.20th. This rug with dark indigo and crimson ground field with rows repeating Pitrak motifs and surrounded by small bird and flowerhead motifs, floral urn decorated spandrels, framed by repeating Pitrak borders with guard stripes. A hand knotted quality wool rug, with short fringes to both ends. A charming old rug, full of character and ready to use. Dimensions:- This rug measures approximately 153.5 cm long including fringes, and 96 cm wide. Condition:- Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in reasonably good condition, commensurate with its age. Some wear to the pile. Good even colour. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
