Returns & Refunds Policy
At Leeds Antiques we take great care to describe and photograph our items accurately, and we encourage customers to contact us with any questions prior to purchase. We also welcome viewings by appointment at our Leeds warehouse.
That said, we recognise that many purchases are made online and unseen, and our returns policy is set out clearly below.
Online Purchases
In accordance with UK consumer regulations, customers purchasing online have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of delivery.
To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing (by email) within 14 days of receiving the item. Once cancellation has been confirmed, the item must be returned to us within a further 14 days.
Returned items must be:
- In the same condition as supplied
- Not damaged, altered, or used beyond reasonable inspection
- Appropriately packaged for safe transport
Return Shipping
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- We strongly recommend using a reputable, insured courier.
- Leeds Antiques cannot accept responsibility for items damaged in transit during return.
For large or fragile items, we are happy to advise on suitable couriers.
Refunds
Once a returned item has been received and inspected, a refund will be issued for the purchase price of the item.
Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless the item is found to be faulty or not as described.
Refunds are issued using the original payment method.
In-Person Purchases & Viewings
Items purchased in person, or following an in-person viewing at our warehouse, are not covered by distance selling regulations.
In such cases, returns are not accepted unless the item is faulty or significantly not as described.
Condition & Descriptions
All items offered by Leeds Antiques are antique or vintage and may show signs of age, wear, or restoration consistent with their period.
Descriptions and photographs form an important part of the listing, and customers are encouraged to review them carefully and ask any questions prior to purchase.
